CPU constraints in games often exceed what most reviewers highlight. The tests usually aim to expose a clear, measurable gap, which seems more academic than practical. For Warframe, the 7950x3D achieved 68% higher framerates, especially at 1200 fps. All samples except one were shot at 4K ultra, with the 4790k pushed to its limits under heavy load. This doesn’t ignore the smoother experience compared to the i7 4790k’s choppiness. The key takeaway is that games like Warframe show big differences in performance across scenarios—similar to MMO titles—and require deep system knowledge to evaluate properly. Even with variability, each controlled test shows consistent results. The RTX 4090 is optimized for high output, but the i7 4790k still struggles under stress. This highlights how important it is to consider CPU limits when choosing a GPU, especially for demanding games.

The interesting aspect lies in the single-player, isolated testing setup—there were no interruptions. The only noticeable issues were when player or enemy numbers increased significantly, which matched my expectations. I want to emphasize that solo missions ran smoothly as well. However, I wasn’t prepared for a similar performance gap in certain situations; I anticipated larger delays overall. It’s worth noting this test was built to achieve the smallest possible delay, so I ran it in 4K ultra resolution. My goal wasn’t to maximize the gap like lower settings would allow.

You can chat with me in-game using the same username. I’ll focus mainly on playing Diablo 4 for the next few weeks.

I’d really like to purchase it, but I don’t have funds right now. Do you have a Discord channel? Blqckqut#2933

I do that, though it isn't something I post on social media. It's mainly used for voice calls with loved ones and friends.

Looking ahead, anyone interested should check the updated 'solved' thread for a clearer view of CPU versus GPU improvements. The main aim is to deepen the conversation around CPU and GPU upgrades, filling gaps that are often missing in common benchmarking sources.
