I own an ROg zephyrus g16 gu603vv 13620h with 4060 120w. Performance is typically around 60 fps max, but I’m averaging about 40–50 fps in some games. In Forza Horizon 5 it runs smoothly at normal frames, while Valorant sometimes drops to around 150 fps. I’ve checked drivers and BIOS updates, and thermal throttling isn’t an issue.
The 4060 is designed for 1080 at 60fps during previous matches. A laptop adaptation is even less capable, requiring further adjustments. Several current titles lack proper optimization, making it necessary to reduce performance settings. Today's games are also often poorly optimized, and running a high-demand engine like Unreal 5 can be challenging.
It's true your 4070m isn't as fast as your desktop 3070 in raw raster stats, but the Ryzen 9 and newer features really boost its performance. You're seeing around 90-140 fps in Monster Hunter Wilds with FSR/FRAMEGEN, and it looks better on screen too—likely thanks to the improved display.
On GTA the frames per second were already optimized with DLSS, and it's not that tough to play.
