To address game lag, examine your internet connection speed or the game server’s performance – begin by testing your speed at https://www.speedtest.net/ and consider switching servers if necessary. Regarding frame rate drops, this is often linked to issues with your computer itself, such as CPU or GPU overheating, or outdated drivers like network, chipset, or graphics card drivers. Also, verify the specifications of your power supply unit (PSU).

Regarding my power supply, I have a SHP 650, and incidentally, it takes a considerable amount of time for my computer to start up, so I’m unsure if this is related to the lagging issue.

Regarding a power supply unit (PSU) with an HP 650 designation, could you provide the precise model number? Perhaps this relates to the PSU issue.

The marking is too tiny to decipher; if you possess a superior power supply from another manufacturer, test this one and observe the result. Alternatively, uninstall the GTX 1060 and utilize the integrated graphics card for system startup.

I suspected the issue stemmed from my processor, and I intended to purchase an Intel Core i5-8400; however, I’ll explore other options first.

Without diagnosing the root of the issue initially, you risk losing your investment.

Therefore, are you monitoring your CPU/GPU temperatures while playing?

Attempt removing the GTX 1060 and utilizing the integrated graphics card to observe if the problem persists.

Ensure all drivers are up-to-date.

4) Verify your internet speed and explore alternative servers.
