Hey, so I recently upgraded my PC from a Phenom ii x6 1100t OC 3.9, 16gb ddr 1333, 512gb ssd Samsung drive (OS), 1tb WDBlack drive (storage) HD 7970gb Editing was a smooth experience for the most part, until I brought in multiple HD files .MOV iphone video, for multicamera editing. The playback was very workable and only had to ram preview if it was a scence with complex edits and effects. So I upgrade to a 5960x, asus x99-deluxe, intel 530 240GB SSD, same video card 7970 and same storage drive. The Performance is....no lie if I had to guess, 500x worse. Its like Sony Vegas is only using 1 core, 2 if I get lucky. Video playback in the time line is choppy beyond belief, compared to the same exact project I would open up on my old pc. Has anyone heard anything like this happening with anyone else. Any thoughts, suggestions? I really don't want to move to premiere pro.

I have, countless times!!!!!! Its not even running at the previous experience with the old rig. By default, no tinkering, this set up should be SMASHING the old set up.

I haven’t even attempted to render properly; I think I gave it a try once but it was extremely slow, so I stopped right away. Just replaying it within the project showed something was off.
