I hope I hadn't been so occupied that I wouldn't have spotted this problem sooner. It might have helped me identify the cause more quickly, but that's already behind us. The game previously performed excellently—especially on a decent GTX 660 with reasonable settings (high textures, mid-range other options, some extreme tweaks like MSAA off). It consistently maintained around 60 FPS with VSync. If I enabled it, performance would range from 60 to 90 FPS. Lowering the graphics settings didn't improve things, which supports my idea that it's not a standard graphics bottleneck like an overclocked setting. I suspect one of the recent patches (within a few months) might have caused the issue, but it's possible it's an internal problem unrelated to external changes. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

It's great to see higher FPS numbers compared to others, though a GTA update might have contributed.

Well I used to but it's unplayable like this. And if it just ran like that "out of the box" that would be one thing, but I know it can do so much better, and by extension, I know there is something here to fix, and that's what's really bugging me!

Gta's latest update has significantly impacted performance, with some improvements and others drawbacks. It seems limited efforts remain to fix the issues.

No, your GPU isn't experiencing cooling issues.

In theory, I should be able to revert to an earlier version for single-player use. However, since Steam updates automatically and only provides the newest release, I’m unsure about that.

It seems you're questioning why 50 frames per second feels too slow or frustrating for kids these days. The issue often comes down to expectations and context—what feels unplayable can depend on the game, platform, or how it's designed.

No, the temps are fine, and it's not like it only gets like this after a while - it starts running like this from the first second the game starts stutter

Adjust the settings a bit, but why is there stutter?

Switching from 60 fps to 50 can become bothersome.
