Performance issues at 3200? Try UHD 750 tuning.
Hi! I just assembled my PC and gaming wasn’t up to expectations, so I looked into the BIOS settings. It turns out my RAM is stuck at 2666 MHz instead of the expected 3200. My motherboard and CPU should handle 3200, so upgrading it might help. Regarding the GPU, I’m using an Intel UHD 750 and plan to get a dedicated one later. Would boosting the memory usage toward the onboard GPU improve performance? Also, is it beneficial to focus more RAM on the built-in GPU? Thanks for your help!
When using quicker RAM, the performance tends to feel smoother and less choppy.
Thank you for the clarification. I was thinking of playing total war: warhammer 2, but it only ran around 30 fps on 720p with low settings. That won’t work. Now I’m considering even older titles. In the meantime, do you have any idea how to boost the memory frequency on this MOBO? Could it affect system stability? I haven’t seen any options for increasing it. Also, is XMP still the right setting I should be using?
XMP is the standard you'd apply unless you prefer a more hands-on approach. You might want to give it a try to check if it enhances your gaming experience.
