Hey everyone, I just purchased a set of actiontec MoCA 2.5 boxes from Amazon to simplify running Ethernet throughout my home. The first box connects a coax outlet splitter to the MoCA unit and then to the modem (Netgear CM1150V). Since I already had an Ethernet connection to the lower box, which is linked to my router (R7000-100NAS), the MoCA devices needed that setup. While testing internet speeds, I noticed slower connections via Ethernet compared to Wi-Fi across the house—about 130/35 Mbps for MoCA and 250/30 Mbps over Wi-Fi. Any suggestions on why these speeds are so low?

I hooked the modem into the room I wanted and measured around 850/50, confirming the coax cables work. It's still under the gigabyte target, but at least it's better.

MoCA depends fully on the condition of your home coax cable, covering factors like noise, interference, and splitters. The only reliable method to confirm device performance is by connecting them via a brief coax link and following the guidance provided. A solid watch for both installation advice is essential.

Choose a wide-band splitter instead of a standard one, as most splitters lose performance outside the 1GHz range.

You have a broad-band splitter with improved speeds up to 850/40. Appreciate the assistance.
