I just upgraded to an Acer Nitro XV272U VBMIpprx and I'm really happy with it! It's a solid 1440p gaming display. For future reference, my setup includes an Intel i5-12600K, Intel UHD Graphics 770, 32GB Corsair DDR4 RAM (upgraded to 3200MHz), 1TB storage, etc. I mainly play games like Rocket League and can run them smoothly at around 50fps in high settings with integrated graphics. It's quite impressive! However, when I try more demanding titles such as The Backrooms Game Free Edition or Roblox (my sister plays it often), the GPU usage spikes to 100%, causing display issues like tearing, blur, dropped frames, and erratic FPS. I know integrated graphics aren't ideal for gaming, especially at higher resolutions, but this performance is surprising. I attached a video of myself playing the game; hopefully OBS Studio captured the poor performance. It's an MKV file, so it should work in Windows Media Player or VLC, though I haven't tested it on a Mac yet.
Edit: When I recorded the video, the encoding got overwhelmed from gaming and screen recording at full 1440p on integrated graphics, which explains the lower quality footage. I didn’t watch the video before uploading, hehe!
Well... yes? Integrated graphics aren't really built for gaming in most cases. A dedicated GPU usually delivers better performance. The fact that you can play Rocket League at 1440p with 50fps mainly shows how well the game is optimized, not anything else.
