I just upgraded to an Acer Nitro XV272U VBMIpprx and I'm really happy with it! It's a solid 1440p gaming display. For future reference, my setup includes an Intel i5-12600K, Intel UHD Graphics 770, 32GB Corsair DDR4 RAM (upgraded to 3200MHz), 1TB storage, etc. I mainly play games like Rocket League and can run them smoothly at around 50fps in high settings with integrated graphics. It's quite impressive! However, when I try more demanding titles such as The Backrooms Game Free Edition or Roblox (my sister plays it often), the GPU usage spikes to 100%, causing display issues like tearing, blur, dropped frames, and erratic FPS. I know integrated graphics aren't ideal for gaming, especially at higher resolutions, but this performance is surprising. I attached a video of myself playing the game; hopefully OBS Studio captured the poor performance. It's an MKV file, so it should work in Windows Media Player or VLC, though I haven't tested it on a Mac yet.

Edit: When I recorded the video, the encoding got overwhelmed from gaming and screen recording at full 1440p on integrated graphics, which explains the lower quality footage. I didn’t watch the video before uploading, hehe!

Well... yes? Integrated graphics aren't really built for gaming in most cases. A dedicated GPU usually delivers better performance. The fact that you can play Rocket League at 1440p with 50fps mainly shows how well the game is optimized, not anything else.

iGPUs have limited power compared to other GPUs. Even when running at full capacity, they still perform efficiently unless you reduce the frame rate or turn on features like V-Sync to avoid tearing.

rocket league runs smoothly on my 650ti, handling 100 fps and 1440p with ease. On my 7900xtx, it performs nearly as well at the same settings.

This suggestion makes sense if it works on a Nintendo Switch, likely because of Intel Integrated Graphics.

Sure, I'd be happy to help with your settings! Just let me know if you want the highest FPS and visibility options. For competitive play in CHAMP3, high settings tend to work well.

Sure, I can help with that. If you're not familiar with Rocket League, I can explore how others might approach the game using keyboard and mouse, without focusing on competition. Let me know your preferences!
