Hello, you're experiencing low FPS even though your CPU and GPU usage seem normal. Your FPS stays around 53 at ultra settings, but it drops when you lower the quality. When you increase quality, FPS improves. It's puzzling why the game doesn't utilize more resources to boost performance on ultra. Your graphics drivers are up-to-date, PSU is sufficient, temperatures are stable, and everything appears optimized for high performance. This issue started recently after you played at ultra without problems. Any suggestions would be helpful. Upgrading your GPU to something like a GTX 1050 could also help, but I'm unsure why your current usage feels so low despite your specs being strong (Mobo: Gigabyte GA-H81M-DS2, CPU i3 4130, GPU GTX 750, RAM 2x4 1333MHz).

Use MSI After Burner to monitor GPU usage separately from Windows, then review the results.

It mentions the same issue again; don't worry about the low FPS on the SS—it only happens when another program is running. Usually it's 53.

activate the MSI afterburner overlay and test with the game in focus. The reduced FPS during afterburner use suggests the game enters a save state when out of focus, which may account for the lower performance.

Sure, but whenever I launch MSI after playing for a while, I end up back in my game and see the same history.

Consider using a utility named DDU to clear your graphics driver and then reinstall it.
