Hi! I just upgraded my friend's laptop with a new cooling fan, changed the RAM from 8x1 to 8x2, and swapped an SSD for an SSHD. I cleaned it thoroughly and installed Windows 10 along with the necessary drivers. She’s now reporting slow performance—especially when running modded games like Sims 4. The high-performance mode didn’t help much. I’m trying to figure out what’s causing the issue without making it look like I damaged the device.
