Hi everyone, I'm looking for advice on my friend's PC. He just upgraded his GTX 980TI with the 6900xt graphics card. Now he's experiencing very low frame rates and game crashes (CS:GO, Fortnite, Warzone). He's already turned off ULPs via MSI Afterburner and adjusted some AMD driver settings, like increasing idle speed. The issue persists—CS:GO averages around 356 FPS, with a high of 681 and a low of 136. He's kept the BIOS updated and used the latest drivers for all other components. His system specs are an I7-10700k, no overclocking, 360mm AIO MOBO Aorus Z490 Elite 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM, 850W EVGA PSU, XFX RX 6900XT, Merc 319 monitor (FHD, 240Hz). Someone might have similar problems and could suggest a fix. Also, if he tries enabling the Resazible bar, he's getting BSOD with an error message about kernel security. Thanks for your help! Have a great weekend.
Thank you for your message. After acquiring the new GPU, he reinstalled Windows 10, removed the old partitions, set up fresh ones, and then installed the OS. Initially, trying to turn on the Resazible bar caused a BSOD, which he later turned off. When Windows started, it didn’t recognize any drivers on the PC. It’s confirmed the display is at 1080p resolution.
