Windows stopped working properly, so I had to reinstall everything. That resolved most problems. I believe I’ll still consider upgrading the CPU, but now it’s performing better—staying above 240 and not dropping into the low 100s.

It was set to the lowest configuration. Once Windows was reinstalled, it performed much better, suggesting the issue may have been resolved temporarily until a new CPU is available.
