Hey everyone! I'm using an i5 6600 with a Strix 970 and 8GB RAM at 2133MHz. I'm seeing around 58-59 FPS in Heaven Ultra and about 60-70 FPS in Fortnite at 1417x900. My GPU usage is low (30-40%) while the CPU is heavily loaded (80-90%). Even though the game isn't great, it still runs? What do you think?

The Task Manager displays the processor's speed and performance metrics. Logical cores show how many threads the CPU can handle at once.

Seems like the processor is struggling to keep up.

It shouldn’t be that way with a GTX 970. What Fortnite configurations are you using? Are you running a full 8GB RAM stick? Do you have Discord or other programs open in the background?

Hey! I keep it super quiet with minimal settings. Just a single stick of RAM, MSI afterburner, custom fan curves, and LGS running quietly in the background.

CPU limitations were clear. Dual-channel setup improves performance, especially with two RAM sticks correctly installed. While Intel handles gaming better than Ryzen, it still affects overall speed. I’m curious why the CPU isn’t struggling with the GTX 970—what other processes are using resources simultaneously?

You're using an HDD with 7.2K RPM, and your games are crashing—reinstalling the NVIDIA drivers might help. It could be connected if the driver issue affects performance.
