You replaced your graphics card and used DDU to remove the previous drivers before adding the new ones.

Both cards were from Nivida, and with my GeForce knowledge I performed a fresh driver install. Likely no outdated driver remains.

These aren't demanding games, possibly your setup isn't utilizing the GPU at the required speeds. Check the NVIDIA support page for guidance on enabling power management settings.

I also noticed a similar boost when relocating one of the troubleshooting challenges to a different storage device, suggesting the original drive may be failing. After considering this, the drive is likely at least seven years old, so it’s best to limit testing to low-impact games without any critical or irreplaceable data.
