Hey everyone, have you tried playing crossfire in GTA V? Especially on a Radeon HD 6990? I'm curious about its performance. Could an FX-8350 handle it as a CPU? Also, share your experience with GTA V so far and what your setup looks like.

your fx 8350 usually runs between 50% to 60% during gta 5, while your gtx 770 handles everything at high settings and maintains around 60fps.

GTA V appears to dislike AMD processors, yet the 6990 might boost frame rates. Off-topic: Did you plan to purchase a damaged 6990 and successfully repair it?

I’m done with that idea I had for a while. I actually own it now, but I was thinking about getting another just in case. But I gave up on it :-D It seems Dead Card is no longer available.

your crossfire results with the 290s are poor, showing significant stutter and low frame rates.

I just tested it with my 6990 and it functions great :-D A bit stuttering occurs, but otherwise it runs smoothly at over 30 fps (35-40). That’s fine. The graphics are impressive—everything is capped at Normal settings, so texture quality is limited. I only have 1080p, not 4K, which helps with performance.

Revisiting this discussion, anyone using an HD 6000 lineup (mostly) or an HD 7000 series graphics card who can play GTA V smoothly in CrossFire? Did the BETA updates assist or hinder performance?
