Performance improves significantly across all processors at 4.3 ghz
I’m starting to believe my cooler might not be the issue. Others seem fine with their X63 AIO, even though I switched back to my 3700X and now idle at 30-40°C. It’s clear the CPU can cool down easily, but most people still get good performance with the 5800X using the same cooler. There was a comment earlier about someone running an X62 with a 5800X3D without trouble. I might be being too firm, but I’m not sure I want to buy another cooler just yet since it doesn’t seem like the problem.
It's possible I might have received a bad batch, or maybe the Ryzen Master settings are causing issues. I'm not sure because earlier I had -15 on the curve optimizer with other PBO tweaks that kept the CPU near 4.6 GHz in Cinebench R23. Even with those results, the FPS I aimed for was inconsistent, which might mean the game settings are the problem I can't fix.
