Relies on your processor and the tasks at hand. Spectre and Meltdown fixes came out as small patches on 1803, so it's likely you already have them installed.

Indeed, I overlooked mentioning that I mainly play demanding CPU-heavy titles such as Escape from Tarkov on an 8700k OC to 5.1.

They may already include updates, though they affect performance. You can still apply this to turn off Windows updates. https://www.grc.com/inspectre.htm

Good observation, I missed the patch dates. Thanks for reminding me—referenced 2018 and updated in February 2020.
