Recently, I switched to using an external monitor and wanted to rely solely on it. I adjusted the second monitor settings and covered my laptop lid. As a result, my internet speed decreased temporarily, but it returned once I lifted the lid. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Do you connect to Wi-Fi? They often place an antenna inside the casing.

Yes, you can still use your antenna even when the laptop lid is closed. Just ensure the antenna is properly connected and positioned, and consider checking if any cables are blocking the signal path.

They’re set up to capture the best signal when the lid is left open. Closing it shifts them to a less effective spot, causing the weak performance. A USB adapter could assist, but a wired Ethernet connection would be the perfect solution.
