I previously had a gigabyte A320M S2H motherboard, which worked fine with normal core speeds. After upgrading to the new board, my core speed jumped to about 3.700, then suddenly dropped to around 2.800. I’m unsure why this happened and what should be done. My CPU is a Ryzen 5 2600.

It's typical for processors to reduce their clock speed during inactivity to conserve energy.

While playing games I also observed minor performance drops when switching to my new motherboard, such as significant decreases in frame rates.
