You're experiencing a significant drop in FPS after setting up your new PC. Let's review what might be going on. The issue could stem from mismatched settings between Fraps and Minecraft, or from hardware limitations. Check the following: ensure your GPU is properly recognized and calibrated, verify that your CPU and RAM are compatible with the game, and confirm that your PSU can handle the load. Also, try adjusting Fraps settings to match Minecraft's recommended FPS range (usually 60-80). If the problem persists, consider updating drivers or testing on a different game. Good luck!

Use AMD's GVR for recording, but Fraps harms lower-end devices.

FRAPS is known for reducing framerates during recording, particularly when capturing games. Consider alternatives if possible. I understand bandicam is a bit lighter than FRAPS, and DXTory is another option. EDIT: As mentioned before, AMD's GVR resembles Nvidia's Shadowplay.
