Hello, After installing the new GPU and motherboard, I'm seeing reduced FPS compared to my previous setup with the 1050ti. It's unclear if the problem lies in hardware or software. Drivers are current, Windows 10 is up to date, and my specs are listed as: Windows 10 64-bit, Gigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE V2 (latest BIOS), AMD Ryzen 7 3800X (not overclocked), 4x8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM at 1600MHz XMP, Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070, Samsung SSD 990 Evo PLUS with 2TB drive, Seagate Barracuda 1TB, and Corsair CX 750 (750W 80+ gold).
What kind of monitor are you using? Is your game running on a mechanical hard drive or an SSD?
I rely on a Samsung ODYSSEY G4 27-inch monitor as my primary display, with most of my gaming sessions running on SDD. I've attempted to install the OS using only the GPU driver, believing it might be around 3200 MHz—referring to the RAM module rather than the clock speed shown on OCCT.
Checked OCCT and confirmed GPU performance. Screenshot attached for review. Temperatures, power draw, and clock speeds are visible. RAM is at 3200MT/s as expected. CPU stress test shows only 52W at 96% load—unexpected. Please see the image for details.
I reinstalled Windows and kept facing the same problem... Actually, it happened during a GPU stress test, not normal usage. While playing, my GPU reached 100% utilization. Concerning the power consumption, I performed a test and the results seem unusual—I'm not sure what to make of them. For the OCCT GPU test, I used these settings: EDIT – I think it might be related to the bus interface, possibly because I connected the power supply incorrectly.
Hello, The issue was quite confusing, really appreciating everyone's support. Please highlight the power consumption details. I connected the GPU to the incorrect PCIe slot, which caused it to perform poorly. After moving to the better PCIe version, my frame rates improved significantly and power usage dropped.
Your GPU performance during a stress test indicates an issue. Full load is typical, but if it didn’t occur while playing, it’s a concern. DDU, please act quickly.
