Summary of Issues:
Current problems include sudden GPU usage spikes from 1% to 30-40% within seconds. The system freezes, making even mouse movement difficult. This occurs in the BIOS as well. The Realtek LAN port disconnects every 5 minutes for 0.25–1 seconds. Audio output is almost nonfunctional (Zoom H6 via USB).
According to HWinfo, voltage fluctuations are extreme and power consumption is inconsistent. I need reassurance that I’m on the right track while testing parts and updating firmware, drivers, and software. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Items in Good Condition:
- CPU – consistent performance under load (Cinebench)
- GPU – same issue persists with another Nvidia model; 3DMark score remains strong
- SSD – boot drive verified clean via CHKDSK/R
- RAM – passed MemTest86 and Windows diagnostic
- Surge protector & power supply – no faults detected
- Thermal performance – stays below 60°C under load
- BIOS updates – applied successfully (BIOS reset, XMP enabled)
- Additional drivers – installed correctly (GameBoost, XMP, DDU refresh)
Things I didn’t do:
- Did not manually overclock CPU or GPU
Potential concerns:
- PSU and motherboard compatibility
- Power stability and voltage consistency
- Need to confirm firmware updates are fully applied
Let me know if you’d like further guidance.
Recorded in low light, perhaps skip the PCIe slot for higher speeds?
