Battlefield V isn't performing well on my PC. Even with low graphics settings, my FPS often drops to around 40 frames per second at 1080p. The site I checked (TechSpot) suggests a RX 580 should average about 78 FPS and minimum 67 on ultra settings. I have the newest drivers, but my CPU is overclocked to 4.3GHz and runs at about 70% usage during games.

It's a beta version. I wouldn't waste much time fixing issues since it probably needs more optimization. Still, there appears to be a solid thread with settings to enable or disable: https://forums.battlefield.com/en-us/dis...-1080-card

There are still three hours left before I can play. Why am I working today?

CPU might be too limited. The 4c/4t models aren’t strong enough for smooth 64-player multiplayer on this platform, especially if you need consistent 60fps.

Since you're an adult, you need to earn money for your PC. I'm here to help you get motivated. I have about 1.5 hours left to finish it <3

That's just nonsense. As I mentioned earlier, I'm running around 70% CPU during games. Other Frostbite games like BF4, BF1, and Star Wars Battlefront all work really well for me.
