Hey everyone, I've noticed my FPS in GTA V has dropped recently. I'm usually playing on high and very high settings, which the game suggests for new players, but I'm seeing between 30 and 80 frames per second—about 45 fps on average. That's odd since my system specs are at least as good as or better than what the recommendations say. I've tried installing the latest AMD beta drivers and lowering the settings, but nothing seems to help. I'm wondering if I'm overestimating my PC's capabilities. Could this be an optimization issue? If not, what should I do? Thanks for any advice!

Several AMD customers are experiencing lower than anticipated speeds. Allow a week or two for improved drivers and patches, then reassess the situation.

I'm using a modified Windows 10 driver for GTA V. I'm experiencing around 55-65 frames per second with high settings and about 45 minutes of gameplay while driving fast. Consider uninstalling your current driver via DDU if you wish to test this one. You'll need to turn off the driver's signature during installation. Also, please share feedback on GTA V's low GPU usage with AMD.

Your processor is already standard. Choosing a K-series model makes sense if you prefer not to push it beyond its limits. I'm running an i5-3570K at 4.4GHz with an upgraded GTX 970, and I'm seeing better results than yours.

I'll give it a shot and complete the surveys. Generally high scores—tesselation, grass, MSAA, shadows reduced or disabled. Yeah, I understand. When I purchased the CPU, I planned to overclock, but I've become less diligent. The game doesn't demand full CPU usage (it usually stays at 75-80%), so should I really push it to boost performance?

My processor runs at 4.5 and I can't use the computer while playing. My 780 also works very badly. Everyone who reviews seems to get great results :l

980's performs well on SLI, though it struggles when leaving the city or on certain highways. It's running at full capacity. The main issues are MSAA being 4x for textures and shadows, and TXAA is disabled to avoid visual degradation. Frames are consistently around 80-90fps, with smoother performance in grassy areas and outside urban routes.

Disable all advanced options. On the panel indicating changes will affect performance, you’ll notice these adjustments significantly influence frame rates across devices. You might also attempt reducing load distance settings (you may not recall its exact name). This can boost FPS as well. Enabling MSAAx4 or higher also plays a major role in performance. Consider setting it to 2x or turning it off to raise FPS.
