Hi there. I’m facing an issue with my monitor. It has a 2560x1440 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and G-Sync. When I play games, the screen seems to flicker or become blurry whenever it drops below 100fps. I suspect the actual frame rate might be lower, like around 83fps, but it feels like 40fps. I’m wondering if using G-Sync alone or Vsync off in the game would help. Also, I’m curious if my 8GB RAM affects performance or smoothness. Could someone explain how to get a smoother display? Thanks.

gsync on and vsync off could be due to low RAM, so monitor RAM usage while gaming.

Yes, if you enable a 144fps lock in Sea of Thieves, it’s a good idea to also disable G-Sync and VSync for smoother performance.

Yes, I played sea of thieves and I had 85% of the ram taken, so it could be a ram. I will try all the options. Gsync off and Vsync off or Gsync on and Vsync off or Vsync on and Gsync off, but it seems to me that the Gsync on and Vsync off option works best and smoothly. Although I'm around 70 - 90 fps in certain areas of the sea of thieves, the fast movement of the screen is somehow smooth. I have 96% gpu taken and 50% cpu. Can't it be a lagspike? If I don't happen to fall to a millisecond of 40 fps in a while? Otherwise I don't know how to solve it.

I'll consider purchasing additional RAM. Appreciate the advice.
