I've upgraded to this system a week ago, but I'm still experiencing around 30-40 FPS drops after the driver changes. I wonder if it's possible to revert the chipset drivers back or use an older version since I had better performance before. The newer setup gave me more frames, and that’s usually better even if it means less consistency. Any advice would be appreciated!

There are options to verify previous installations or evaluate performance. For removing chipset drivers, you can delete them via Device Manager or similar settings, not automatically by the system.

It's possible you adjusted the chipset drivers yourself. Were you around when your system was being built and performance improved? If not, you might want to retrieve the chipset drivers from that era (details are on the linked page). Generally, you should follow the provided uninstallation instructions—whether detailed or simple, manual removal from the Add/Remove programs is usually sufficient.

I used a tutorial from yt that suggested checking performance before and after installing the driver. It seemed to improve for him but made things worse for me—still better than nothing, but higher FPS isn’t ideal. I’ll share an update if it works. Any other advice is welcome.

He mentioned updating the motherboard BIOS in his video. Have you done the same? Updated chipset drivers can sometimes work well with a newer BIOS. After making changes, you’ll need to reconfigure the BIOS settings again, which could explain performance differences. Also, consider whether you performed a fresh Windows installation. Were there other adjustments besides the chipset drivers? Checking the NVIDIA drivers might also be important—updating them could affect whether you should revert or proceed.
