Hey guys, So i've built my first ever pc in January, and since then i've been using it quite a lot (and had some major issues for about a month, but thankfully those are now gone), and a few weeks ago i've noticed that i've lost some framerates in games. For example, GTA V was running at Very High-High settings, stable 70-80 fps, and now i'm barely pulling 50 on High-Normal, and the same thing happened to R6 Siege. Is there a fix for this, other than upgrading? Thanks a lot in advance (specs, if that helps: R3 1200 @3.8GHz (1.29V), 8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport @2666MHz oc-d, and a humble little Gigabyte 1050ti (the smaller 2fan version)

Upgrading would be the best option. Or enhancing your graphics settings. Updates to drivers will improve shaders and textures, along with other game enhancements for better performance.

It seems your computer slowed down quickly, but your 2017 Ryzen 3 is still running well. Sandy Bridge i5s are still performing solidly, so the issue might be elsewhere—like software, background processes, or hardware limitations.

CPU wear over time. Consider updating the thermal paste—it might help prevent overheating. This could be a likely reason.

It could be related because I've been using the stock thermal paste for five months, and my CPU performance has declined.

Have you removed the cooler during the past five months?

It hasn't been running on the CPU since the initial startup.

Okay. Do you have paste you can replace it with?

No problem, I can place an order whenever you're ready.

Do you have an idea of what you're purchasing? The inexpensive paste includes a complimentary stick, if you want that. Getting more free sticks means even more free sticks. The high-end quality - Gucci gang.
