I have updated my graphics card and reinstalled the operating system. My CPU performance seems to have dropped noticeably. The previous GPU was an RTX 2060, which sometimes worked well and other times caused issues. After upgrading to an RTX 3060, my performance fluctuates between 140-200 FPS depending on the game, with the CPU often limiting the GPU. In Valorant, I consistently hit around 200-220 FPS, but now with the same settings, I’m struggling to reach stable 60 FPS while the CPU reports high usage. Msi Afterburner shows only 60-70% CPU utilization, while AMD Adrenalin and Resource Manager show full usage. My CPU clocks, temperatures, and threads are all normal, but I’m certain my overall performance is declining since the upgrade.

It's odd that performance drops, but the CPU seems to be limiting things since the 6800XT is quite capable.

it's clear, with the 2060 i I achieved around 200 fps when the CPU was using about half its capacity, but now it maintains a steady usage rate with drops as low as 120 fps. This is noticeable because I'm using a 144hz display.

No, I don't have access to real-time files or system updates. Please check your AMD support website for the most recent drivers.

I made the updates right away after installing the GPU. It's been a week now.

From examining the YT videos, achieving around 400fps in Valorant should be feasible.

They likely run on a faster processor, but you should never experience poorer performance than a weaker card.
