Performance declines sharply; hiccups or freezes occur in CS:GO at 760.
I recently switched back to my previous motherboard due to a production issue, and my CS:GO performed well for a few days until last Thursday. I’m experiencing some issues or limitations that aren’t related to the network. My FPS fluctuates between roughly 40 and 150, sometimes reaching up to 200, but still has these problems. I’ve followed the recommended steps from Steam—reinstalled Steam, CS:GO, and checked the game. Temperatures are consistently around 40°C on both the CPU and GPU, while the GPU is running at a low load of about 20-30% and all settings are set to the lowest (V-sync off). Anyone have suggestions? I also ran a couple of AVG scans after a fresh install last week and found around 60 "hidden threats" at the provided link. Additionally, my motherboard only recognizes 8GB of RAM out of 12 installed, which seems unusual. It’s strange that only CS:GO is behaving oddly, while other games like Arma 3 run smoothly as usual. Here are my specs for reference: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 v2 I7 950 Gigabyte 760 2GB (driver version 337.88), 12GB of Corsair RAM (only 8 noticed for some reason). Attachments: screenshots of temperatures, load, and CS:GO settings.
Ensure you're using the newest driver or go back to the previous versions on your GPU.
It seems the issue hasn't resolved. Your frame rate has been inconsistent, and you're running out of solutions.
