I recently replaced my graphics card and performance has dropped significantly. I’m unsure how to resolve this issue. Upgrading from a 2070 to a 4070 Ti caused similar problems—240+ fps in Valorant and around 80 fps in Minecraft. Even with file explorer lagging, I can usually troubleshoot but this one remains unresolved. I’ve uninstalled drivers via DDU and reset Windows, yet the issue continues. My old GPU was MSI Gaming x Twin Frozr 7 RTX 2070, and my current specs include a CPU of 11900K, RTX 4070 Ti, and Corsair Vengeance RAM.

No, I didn't confirm your drivers. Let me know if you need help with anything else.

Unfortunately, I didn't discover DDU until after installing the new card. Even then, the issue continued with the freshly set up Windows and the 4070 TI plugged in.

What kind of power supply are you using? How many connections run from the power supply to the graphics card? Would you like me to open GPU-Z and display the graphs during stuttering? Also, make sure the Bus Interface is set to 4.0x16 when under load.

Val offers more CPU power, though your 11900k might be the reason you're struggling. It shouldn't be performing worse compared to a 2070.

It seems your GPU is likely entering a low-power mode because it's being used infrequently, assuming it's only handling minor GPU-accelerated tasks. Adjusting it to a high-power setting will make it perform at its maximum capacity.

Power Source: ASUS ROG THOR 1200P provides two 8-pin cables from the power supply to a 16-pin cable linked to the card. Which charts are you checking in GPU-Z? I haven’t found anything beyond the sensors section. My attempt to launch Minecraft ended with a crash now...

The sensor graphs and perfcap charts may appear unusual due to varying color schemes.

The PerfCap chart appears empty despite both Valorant and Minecraft being active. Several GPU metrics are not displaying data.

Confirm if you're connecting the graphics card or using integrated graphics. Identify the port connected to your monitor. The GPU-Z sensors display a mix of issues, such as the GPU not being selected for apps or not being fully detected. What does the "graphics card" section appear to show?
