Performance declined in multiple games following the CPU upgrade.
Hey everyone, I recently swapped out my old Ryzen 7 1700 for a newer Ryzen 5 5600G. At first everything worked well until I tried some of my favorite older titles. They weren’t running smoothly anymore—performance dropped to around 12 FPS, with neither the CPU nor GPU getting much use, stuck between 20 and 10%. I’ve already checked a lot of things; modern games seem to handle 60 FPS just fine. The graphics card is off, drivers are current, and the BIOS is up-to-date. Here’s a quick benchmark link: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/62925076.
The games I tested with poor performance include Silent Hunter III, Crusader Kings 2, Crusader Kings 3, Europa Universalis 4, and Payday 2.
Here are my specs: CPU – Ryzen 5 5600G, GPU – Radeon 6600 XT, Motherboard – B350+, Power Supply – 850W, RAM – 2x8GB.
Yep, latest drivers Which is weird since i after reinstalling windows after upgrading already tried wiping all drivers ans reinstalling themye Yep! I am Pretty sure i have the latest ones, i wiped my drivers twice and tried it with old ones as well and each time the problem persisted
I found the drivers there. As I mentioned, most recent games run smoothly. The main issues are with older titles that really struggle and crash even when they shouldn't.
