It could be the RAM speed... I'm trying to move past 60fps, which feels stuck for the last 20 years. CPU has 32 threads (3.2–3.8GHz), four processors, supports up to 2000MHz DDR3. RAM is 1333MHZ with 16 sticks and 64GB total—dual channel, DDR3. PSU is 1000W, GPU is RX 580, monitor handles 144+Hz. At max settings, thermal control shows only 50% usage, and the GPU runs at 50% of its capacity. CPU frame rate stays above 100, games run at 100+ FPS, plus average around 50 FPS. Over double slowdowns occur in other titles too. No UEFI detected.

I'm testing the frame rate using a FPS cap or checking for CPU limitations.

Are you looking for assistance with something specific, or are you curious about FPS?

Your message has been updated to hide it from public visibility. Please share your complete details and provide a more detailed description of the problem. It looks like you're interacting with server hardware, so knowing your CPU model will help identify any potential issues.

Legacy server processor. It makes sense you're facing problems. RAM isn't the issue since the CPU can't handle speeds above 1600MHz. Consider reverting to an open setup. For future reference, please specify its server components so this appears legitimate.

I wouldn't have attempted to play games on that processor back then in 2013.

We can explain why the processor struggles to reach 60fps clearly. Despite having 32 cores and a wide speed range (3.2Ghz to 3.8Ghz), performance is limited by other factors. The RAM support, up to 2000MHz, may not be fully utilized or compatible with the system. Understanding these details helps clarify why achieving high frame rates remains challenging.

Because it's a piece of shit. It's a server CPU, never intended for gaming to begin with, and it's almost a decade old. 32 cores doesn't mean anything when most games can't use more than 4-8. Clock speeds don't mean anything divorced from IPC. The Pentium 4 could run 3.x ghz too, try running modern games on one of those. Also your post is ambiguous but if you're running more than one actual CPU in a server/workstation board, there's not a game made that can use more than one CPU.
