I placed an order for a Ti Super and a Ryzen 7 5800X. I wasn’t giving much thought but added the components to my PC picker. It looks like it should work, but I’m concerned about compatibility between the GPU and CPU. I can’t find much info because the Ti Super is new. I searched for a 4080 with that CPU and saw some people say it should work at 1440p. I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts here before sending anything back or spending more.

The 5800x will work well for the 4070 Ti Super at 1440p. A quicker CPU would be preferable, but the 5800x still performs nicely! You should have a smooth gaming experience. No major concerns here. The 5800X3D is an upgrade but costs an extra $100...

Thanks for the update, I’m feeling much better now. I was really worried I was causing more harm than good. Lol

You're great! The 5800x remains an extremely fast gaming CPU. A friend uses a 4070 Ti Super with a first-gen RYZEN 1800X; at 1080p it's definitely a bottleneck, but at 1440p it still performs well. The 5800x is significantly quicker. Don't worry, have fun gaming on your amazing new PC!
