Hello, your new PC is running smoothly and efficiently. The GPU usage in games stays around 50%, and you're only achieving about 30fps in Minecraft with shaders. It seems your CPU isn't the main issue, even though its usage isn't at 100%. You've adjusted the settings in NVIDIA Control Panel to prioritize maximum performance, but results remain similar. Let me know if you need further assistance.

No, Minecraft settings do not inherently limit the frame rate to 30fps. The game allows customization of performance settings, but 30fps is just one possible option depending on hardware and preferences.

It's configured for unlimited resources, but it doesn't stop there. This isn't limited to Minecraft either—whenever I play any game, it often reaches near full GPU usage.

The CPU is limiting your GPU performance, which might not be obvious. It runs about half the speed of an FX-6300, and someone with a 6300 and a 970 experiences similar bottlenecks.

It's highly probable your CPU is handling the task. Open Task Manager, right-click the performance graph, then switch it to logical processors. Minecraft won't utilize every single core, meaning some might be fully busy while others remain idle.

That's the idea, but when I looked online everyone kept emphasizing that for a CPU to become a bottleneck it needs to be operating at full capacity.

Many users share images on this forum but struggle to capture or edit screenshots. Review the other graphs in MSI Afterburner to identify what settings are at their limits.

Same as the task manager displayed. Which other graphs are you curious about? (There are around 30.)

It seems like you're wondering if the processor is showing lower usage because two cores are locked and not contributing to performance.
