I still can't agree to pay $50 for DLC in this time. Perhaps I'll wait for a 2033 Redux discount of half the price one day, but not right now.

Yes, but your system runs a GTX 780. Meanwhile, I'm dealing with two old HD6950 graphics cards.

I noticed Redux offers strong performance enhancements. On my setup for Last Light, I maintained 60 FPS but experienced occasional drops to 50-40 FPS under certain conditions.

The performance seems improved. You noticed frequent frame drops on your GTX 780 with i5 3570k, so you're waiting to confirm the fixes are working.

They allocated roughly £30 for the original engine in a studio lacking power for half the shoot. Given those constraints, it would be challenging to produce a significantly superior version if that was the only scope available.

If you liked Metro 2033 more than Metro Last Light, I would recommend getting the Redux for 2033, it is a much better way to portray such an amazing game
