Performance and graphics optimization for Metro Redux implementation.
I tried the original Metro Last Light and it was solid, but the Redux update really shined. The lighting improvements are noticeable, and the animations feel much more lifelike. The tessellation and ssa work together to create a stunning visual. I think the performance is better too—higher fidelity images with smoother frame rates. It looks incredible now. If you haven’t tried it yet, definitely check it out.
You're asking if it's true and mentioned you tried both games, but skipped the Redux updates.
The Redux updates are significantly less effective than the original versions. It might be due to my 2xHD6950 struggling with tessellation, but I’m barely reaching over 20 FPS compared to games that consistently stay above 40. I had to lower the maximum tessellation to x8 in the Catalyst Control Centre so I could play them.
I believed the conversation was about general gaming or technology topics. No?
I actually downloaded the Redux version to compare the differences, to be honest it’s not worth the extra 15 dollars. There are a few changes, but most of the textures and effects remain the same. I also don’t think the story has changed much.
I'll log the FPS later and perform a precise comparison. I'm confident it's performing better; I haven't noticed any major drops like with the original version.
It's included with every bundle and all the additional content too. It's certainly a good investment. For all the reasons mentioned earlier.
