Hello everyone, I'm trying to figure out if there are any issues with RAM compatibility for Ryzen 5000 CPUs. It's not about speed, but about stability. Recently, I've experienced random crashes or restarts—sometimes with a blue screen, other times not. It doesn't happen often or clearly, and it seems to occur occasionally during gameplay, especially when running certain titles. It started after I replaced my i7-8086k with a Ryzen 7 5800x and used an Aorus Pro B550 motherboard.
At first, I thought reinstalling Windows might help, so I cleared old drivers. I also tried adjusting settings like setting voltage manually, disabling precision boost, and even ran a memory test using MemTest86. The results were mixed: one test showed 1800 errors with Corsair Dominator Platinum 3000MHz, while another with cheaper RAM from another PC passed without issues. I also tested XMP profiles on both systems.
Since temperatures aren't the problem and my AIO isn't overheating, it's possible the memory itself is the culprit. I'm considering trying a Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL if I need more. What other options should I look into for stable performance?

The storage needs to remain consistent at XMP level. Report any issues during testing and send a return if errors occur. I'm testing the same 3000MHZ Dominator Platinum 4x8 kit, which is overclocked to 3800MHz with 1900FCLK, using a 5800X, and it functions perfectly.
1) Load your unstable memory kit and operate at standard settings (save BIOS to a profile and reset fully). It may run at 2133 or 2400 speeds. Avoid XMP/DOCP settings. This ensures it uses default speed and timing.
2) Execute memtest86+ to check for errors at the current speed. If issues appear, your memory is compromised and you may need to initiate a return merchandise authorization process. If no errors, proceed to step 3.
3) Turn on XMP/DOCP and lower the frequency to 2400 MHz. Re-run memtest86+ with XMP timings. Success indicates proper function; increase speed if needed. If it fails, consider returning it for repair.
Thanks for the feedback. I made the updates from F10 to F13g after the incident began. The motherboard is fresh, and the CPU came from an eBay seller—maybe that’s not the problem. My memory has been with me for a long time, so it’s past warranty coverage. I’ll keep testing with XMP enabled. It’s tough to tell if this is causing the crashes since they seem random.
It's really fast-paced at 3000MHz, but that's not ideal for the 5800X. You might try upgrading to a higher frequency like the 3600MHz CL16 model, though it won't help much if you're already losing performance.
