The 2012/early 2013 iMacs don't support WiFi, and hard drive speed drops significantly, though they function adequately with Big Sur. You can find instructions for installing Big Sur on unsupported Macs here: https://github.com/barrykn/big-sur-micropatcher

Thanks, but I’m not experiencing any Ethernet issues at home. However, we might consider setting up an Ethernet extension to bring the connection into the room where it’s needed.

It seems best to wait for the hackintosh community to resolve the issue. That’s my suggestion.
