Perform a hack on an old Mac with Nvidia graphics card
The GPU works with Macs that came with it and are running. It supports several operating systems, meaning they likely have additional years of NVIDIA GPU support for the 2014 MacBook Pro 15 models. You could try it out now, check the features with problems first to avoid any issues. I’ll stick with the current version since upgrading to OS 11 isn’t necessary.
Do you have a specific model in mind? The 27-inch iMac from late 2013 is a particular version.
Certainly, though you might mislead it into believing it can't handle Catalina, then shift it to Big Sur—just a thought.
I believe I have a great deal of material to review and attempt, but don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any suggestions.
You're likely using an early 2013 Mac. To run Big Sur you'll probably need a patcher tool. The Nvidia GPU should work fine, though I haven't confirmed it. Older Nvidia models are still supported, but newer ones (like the 10 series) aren't.
