Curious if anyone else performed a fresh Windows 10 update with the Creators Update, specifically version 1703. The early setup process feels extremely high after the install completes and you reach the desktop.

No? Then what? I completed the creator update, but does it change if I do it after a fresh installation?

Yes, the experience varies between a clean setup and an upgrade. Cortana appears in all cheerful, festive, and sometimes annoying ways.

Wow, I had no idea. I was using the Education version and Cortana was turned off before the latest update. I was thinking of using it anyway because they say they fixed her, but she's still not helpful xDD

Unfortunately, I haven’t made the creator update yet—just changed it a bit. Maybe I’ll try again soon.

Absolutely frustrating when trying to set it up at work. The speakers suddenly go all out, shouting nonsense like "blabla blabla whatever I'm saying," and refusing to let you mute them until you reach a specific part.

It seems it wasn't me, but someone else knows how to silence the speakers. They shared a video and listened to Cortana's instructions.

You have a small speaker icon for turning off the device. It's unclear why they believe you need AI help to set up Windows, but since you're already here, you likely understand what you're doing and don't require assistance.

The speaker icon is located in the lower right corner, visible immediately. It works similarly to your setup—you can't mute it until you reach a specific part.
