The laptop comes pre-installed with Windows 10. You want to erase everything on the hard drive and reinstall Windows 10 fresh, removing any unnecessary software from HP.

Do you have ample time? Simply remove unused applications, adjust or delete programs. This isn’t prohibited. A fresh setup will occur, but you’ll lose your saved time.
It's actually quite simple to restore Windows. The time depends on your drive type and speed, usually ranging from an hour to three hours or more. Once done, you won’t have to keep monitoring it constantly—just enjoy some free time.
I don't say you need to go out every time you give advice that I disagree with. Personal remarks aren't very kind, and the fact that you have more posts than me isn't an excuse. In this situation, removing a few poor tools that come with your laptop seems much simpler, which is my view. This isn't an old laptop that needs cleaning after years; it's a new one with original Windows installed. And, as in most cases, it comes with extra tools that might be useful or not. Each tool can be uninstalled, and after about 10 minutes and possibly a restart, you'll have a clean Windows without add-ons. Much quicker than the usual 1-3 hours of updates.
