Also since everyone uses a modem, I’m trying to check dial-up but it’s throwing an error when I attempt to connect.
Do you know a provider that gives dial-up connections? Since the end of the day, you need an ISP, and I’m sure there are a few in the US that still offer dial-up.
It won't function properly. You require an IP address, which belongs to ISPs. You must have a phone company that offers dial-up service and a dedicated line at your residence. If you didn't set up a dial-up card yourself, you lack a dial-up modem. Dial-up is hardly relevant anymore. Manufacturers don't include built-in dial-up modems, and it's unclear if Windows 10 supports it at all.
That I NEED a dialup modem card, WHAT? heres a pic of the error:
Here are some alternative options you can use:

Let me know if you need more variations!
I wouldn't invest in this project since you need a service provider. You can't just connect and get internet instantly—this is technology, not magic. The first step is locating a provider. Otherwise, spending money on a dial-up modem might be a waste, especially since most current websites won't work over dial-up.
