When I attempt to add more fans, they operate at full capacity, but removing one causes them to return to standard speed. There seems to be no option to lower their speed while keeping all fans active.

Check if your motherboard has a fan header and see which fans are connected to the red one.

I believe the only fans connected to my motherboard are the rear case fan and the CPU cooler. The specific fan hub I received was just a reference image, so there aren't any others attached to the red one.

Make sure the fan hub connects to the motherboard; otherwise, all fans will spin at maximum speed. The type of hub you choose is important.

The fan hub connects to the motherboard, after which all the fans link to the hub. It seems one of the fans is attached to the red one, which I hadn’t noticed.

Check the label on your motherboard for the header connection details. They are usually clearly marked.

The fans have a 3 or 4 pin connection. The exact model isn't specified.
