We still use W7 on most of our workstations. I’m gradually moving to W10 within each department as funds permit, but there’s roughly two years left before W7 support ends—enough time to replace the rest of the machines.

It seems you're on an older system. Let me know how I can assist!

The school switched from Windows 7 to 10 during the summer because they installed new systems. I’m still using 7 on my laptop and 10 on my PC. I didn’t upgrade to 10 on my laptop since Windows wasn’t enabled at the time.

Many reasons. It works. It doesn't look like it was made for tablets or those little toy computers you can buy for kids. It doesn't force updates that may or may not break stuff. Compatability. Privacy. That strange error some people are getting in 10 that randomly makes the CPU run at 100% on idle. The list could go on a while longer, but it's past midnight for me and I need my 6 hours of sleep.

others avoided the site since it was linked to cancer, while some skipped it 7 because they disliked forced updates, faced software problems on device 10, or had privacy concerns.

8: I concur 7: Areo seems quite poor 10: There are fixes for compatibility in Windows and tools to block telemetry.

I personally enjoy aero but really prefer 10. I disabled all telemetry manually using registry changes so there are no problems. Additionally, I have a program built for Windows 95 that runs perfectly on 10 without any issues.

Both operating systems seem fine. I’m using Windows 7 and Windows 10. My legacy version is still handy. There are things that function on Windows 7 but not on Windows 10.
