Hi there, I’m trying to figure out what’s going on with my new setup. I recently replaced my GPU case to fix overheating issues, but now the system reacts strongly whenever CPU load changes slightly. The fans kick into high gear almost immediately, even for minor processing shifts. It sounds like they’re overcompensating. Could this be due to an incorrect connection of the AIO to the motherboard header, or is it because all the chassis fans are linked to the same fan hub (CHA_FAN2)? I’ve attached some details about the components and a photo for reference. Let me know if you need anything else.

I would begin by adjusting the fan type to PWM rather than Auto in the BIOS.

Are there just a single header connections from the AIO? Which specific cooler model do you own? Refer to your manual—it usually indicates whether to connect to the pump header or the CPU fan header. You might also test FanControl to compare performance with BIOS settings.

These are some extremely bold fan curves. That’s exactly what the issue is.

You have dedicated supporters and your design features sharp angles. The Antec units spin up to 3200rpm. The 12700K delivers powerful performance—are you using a contact frame? Consider undervolting your GPU for better efficiency. FanControl offers smarter fan control, adjusting based on CPU or GPU load. For instance, case fans can adapt to temperature changes. Thanks for your input. I'll set up FanControl and keep you updated on the results. Here are some responses to your questions: I own a Gamdias Chione M2 240R Cooler (chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://www.gamdias.com/User_Manuals/Gaming_Component/Cooler/CHIONE_M2_240R.pdf). The manual doesn't specify the exact placement for the pump header. I haven't added a custom contact frame for the CPU; I'm only using the supports provided by the cooler. I previously undervolted the GPU when I purchased the 3080, but after upgrading the power supply and getting a new chassis, the temperatures dropped significantly.

The pump usually plugs into the AIO header so it runs at full capacity (to move the heat to the radiator). The radiator fans probably plug into a fan header for speed control. There are some variations indeed but it should be a good starting point.
