Puppy is designed for very basic machines. I think you need to get the laptop with it already installed if you want chrome features.

I might consider something like Linux Mint or another lightweight Linux distribution that requires minimal system resources. Chrome OS is unlikely to work well since it's tailored for specific hardware.
