Hi, could you check if the Pentium G3258 can reach around 6GHz with a top-tier AIO 240mm water cooler? - Just curious.

You'd have to use a nitrogen cooling system, similar to those used by world record overclockers. It's unlikely you'd succeed with just 5GHz. The purpose isn't clear, though, because a more capable overclocked CPU (i5 or i7) at a lower frequency could outperform it in games and applications. Don't worry about the high O/Cs seen on single-core chips; modern CPUs have multiple cores like the i5 and i7 do.

Each processor comes with a specific limit for turbo boost, and 6GHz is far beyond what the G3258 can handle.

perhaps with an ideal chip you're unlikely to obtain, you might not want to use a perfect motherboard and run it in liquid nitrogen

Lol, a high end water cooler. You'd need a nitrogen cooler to hit that, as the past few have said. But why even bother spending that much on water cooling? Return the cooler and the CPU, then buy a 200 dollar i5. It makes a lot more sense then overclocking the hell out of the G3258
