I believe this question has been asked before, but the search didn’t help. I’m looking to purchase a pen scanner to convert words, sentences, and paragraphs from my textbooks into digital format for my Anki program. I need reliable Wi-Fi access, which many people have. What I’m trying to find is which devices are quicker at scanning text and using their built-in OCR. I’m not too concerned about language support or other features. I haven’t found any speed information on the websites or reviews. TIA
Checked around for what you're asking, it's not easy to locate. But it isn't out of reach.
The pen scanner I found has a speed rating of 3000 words per minute; it's the ScanMaker Air.

It doesn't support Wi-Fi, but connects via Bluetooth.
For textbooks and similar tasks, I'd recommend the wand scanner instead.

It offers a colored A4 scan speed of 4 seconds and black-and-white A4 at 3 seconds. This is significantly faster than a pen scanner. It does have Wi-Fi, but only the black version does. Other color versions lack Wi-Fi functionality.
