PCs struggle to read storage devices unpredictably.
My machine uses a main SSD and a secondary HDD. It began to freeze when trying to reach the secondary HDD, especially since Windows isn’t installed there. I’ve experienced failures with HDDs before, so I replaced it twice—now it’s clear a bad drive is unlikely. RAID and CHKDSK confirmed everything was okay. I swapped out the power supply just in case it wasn’t delivering enough power, but that didn’t help. Now, when booting from a bootable USB, the system is slow and the tests show irregular performance. The benchmark results from gnome disks indicated normal speeds, but accessing drives causes random crashes and long pauses. It seems the issue might be with the CPU or the motherboard. I’ve checked cables, tried moving drives around, but nothing resolved it. Photos of the benchmarks with hdtunepro show SSD and HDD specs, along with my CPU details and motherboard info.
